2012 ANNUAL CONFERENCE PLANNING UNDERWAY!

The Virginia Blackboard Users Group (VaBUG) invites you to its third annual conference, to be held at George Mason University, Fairfax, VA, on Friday, September 21, 2012!

We hope you will add this date to your calendars, and that you will share this information with colleagues at your institution!

This year’s theme is: “EXPANDING THE CLASSROOM: DOING MORE WITH DIGITAL CONTENT”

CALL FOR PROPOSALS!

Here is a chance to share knowledge and experience with your colleagues across the state of Virginia. In order to afford our membership the best possible personal and professional development opportunities, we are asking instructors, administrators, staff members, and any other interested members to submit proposals for concurrent sessions for this year’s conference. Please consider participating as a presenter, or if you can, please pass this message along to someone you feel may be interested in participating.

Deadlines:
  • Friday, August 10, 2012: All proposals should be submitted by end of business
  • Monday, September 3, 2012: All presentations and handouts submitted by end of business
  • Friday, September 7, 2012: Conference committee must be notified of any sound or extra equipment needs
  • Monday, September 10, 2012: Last day to withdraw your session without $15 penalty

Presenter Expectations:
Presenters will be required to bring their own presentation laptop and any special technology tools. All presentations and any additional handouts will be submitted to the conference committee by end of business, Monday, September 3, 2012, in a secured PDF format for distribution to all attendees. All copyright laws must be observed.

A projector and Internet connection will be provided in each breakout room. If sound or other equipment is needed, presenters must notify conference committee by Friday, September 7, 2012. A $15 withdrawal fee will be charged to any presenter who withdraws from the conference.
